The shaded area is in the junction of the present Avenue de Général de Gaulle and Avenue du Général Leclerc (old names, respectively, Grande route de maisons and Grande route de Brie). To the north the River Marne can be seen; the Seine is to the left (west), and the two rivers join about a kilometer west of the Chateau.
